“The best kept secret since 1880” … For many years hundreds of whisky casks are ripening in our storage rooms in Bachte-Maria-Leerne. This product is also the result of Filliers’ exquisite craftsmanship. Our production process “double still” is unique: we are distilling new aromas and flavours from the grains used. Consequently Goldlys is a surprising new competitor in the world of whiskys.

Goldlys is distilled and ripened in Bachte-Maria-Leerne, a small village in Flanders.
The river Lys, which flows along the distillery did not just inspire the famous painters belonging to the ‘School of Latem’  but did also bring wealth to this region.
The flax that was retting in the river coloured the water: this is why the Lys river was called ‘The Golden River’. That explains ‘Goldlys’.
